Vidal Montgomery is a classically-trained bass player whose performance style is underpinned by the London street vibe which embodies the Reggae, Funk, HipHop and Soul in contemporary Jazz. He has been instrumental in developing accessible Jazz courses at the Royal Academy of Music to help nurture the current and future prospects of UK Jazz. He is a CRB-registered tutor teaching bass and general musicianship in schools in the London Borough of Haringey when he’s not touring with the Courtney Pine Band.
